Hanoi to host TPP talks in September

(VOVworld) - Negotiators from the 12 nations of the Trans-Pacific Partnership will meet in Hanoi early next month to discuss unresolved issues toward signing the pact. Their issues include access to the commodities market and services, intellectual property rights, investment, the environment, restructuring of State-owned businesses, and legal procedures. The meeting is expected to achieve a breakthrough in settling differences for an early conclusion of negotiations.

The TPP agreement addresses both conventional and novel aspects such as competitiveness plan and government procurement. The 12 nations negotiating the TPP agreement represent 40% of the world’s GDP and one third of world trade.
