Hanoi’s Liberation Day celebrated

(VOVWORLD) - Activities are underway to mark the 64th anniversary of Hanoi’s Liberation Day (October 10).

 An art exhibit called “Hanoi in me” opened this week at the Temple of Literature. The 5-day event showcases 80 photos of artisans working in Hanoi's craft villages. Hanoi has the largest number of craft villages in the country. There are 1,300 craft villages, of which Van Phuc silk village and Bat Trang ceramic village are two of the best-known.

A fashion show called “Hanoi Autumn”, a game show, and traditional music performances are taking place this week in Phung Hung street. A second fashion show featuring the latest fall/winter collections will open Saturday.

Kim Ngan Communal House will have demonstrations of traditional handicrafts like carving and jewelry making.
