HCM city to pilot model to care for HIV/AIDS child patients

(VOVworld) – Ho Chi Minh city will build a boarding care center for HIV/AIDS child patients as part of the city’s 2015-2016 Provincial Children Friendship Program. Le Hong Loan, Director of UNICEF’s Save the Children Program in Vietnam, said the city needs more policies to protect children, particularly emergency services for vulnerable groups: “We will support the city in comprehensive child care, early intervention, rehabilitation, and community reintegration for disadvantaged children. We will focus on preventing child abuse and maltreatment by establishing a network of project workers and collaborators.”
