HCM City’s Notre-Dame Cathedral among world’s most stunning cathedrals
(VOVWORLD) - American news site Business Insider has named Notre-Dame Cathedral in Ho Chi Minh City, built in the French colonial era, to its list of the world’s 19 most beautiful cathedrals.

The cathedral, officially named the Notre-Dame Cathedral Basilica of Saigon, was the only representative from Southeast Asia.
The majestic cathedral in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City was modeled on the Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris, and materials for its construction were shipped from France, the US news site noted.
The cathedral, completed in 1880, provided religious services to French colonialists in the 19th and 20th century. It has two bell towers 58 meters high.
Located in a tourist precinct that includes the historic Central Post Office in District 1, the 140-year-old cathedral is popular with both foreign and local visitors, especially during holiday seasons.
