(VOVworld) – Party politburo member Le Hong Anh has called on teachers and staff at Ho Chi Minh City’s University of Law to change ways of thinking, teaching methods, and curricula to match practical needs.

Le Hong Anh, who is also a permanent member of the Party Central Committee's Secretariat, made the appeal at a ceremony to open the University’s new academic year. He said:

“The university’s Party committee, directors, teachers, and students should strictly abide by the Party resolution on fundamental and comprehensive reforms of education and training, and teaching and learning methods. At the same time, it’s necessary to improve the capacity, quality, and efficiency of scientific research and the links between training and research, and between the school and outside organizations.”

Associate Professor Bui Van Ga, Deputy Minister of Education and Training, presents certificates of merit for the university’s outstanding students.

Ho Chi Minh City’s University of Law is one of two key schools in Vietnam training legal personnel for the national judicial reform strategy.
