Ho Chi Minh City, Quang Ninh welcome 175,000 foreign tourists during Tet holidays

(VOVWORLD) - Ho Chi Minh city welcomed 75,000 foreign tourists this Lunar New Year holiday, an increase of 15.4% compared to the same period last year. Foreign visitors come mainly from Europe, the US, Australia, and Japan.

This year, travel companies in the city launched many new products, including programs called “Spring comes to Binh Dong wharf”, “Celebrating Tet with celebrities”, “District 1 at night”, “Sightseeing on the Saigon River by double-decker river bus”, and “Old Sai Gon – Ho Chi Minh City today’.

During the Lunar New Year 2024, Quang Ninh province welcomed over 800,000 visitors including 100,000 foreigners.

Most of the foreign travellers came from South Korea, India, and Taiwan (China). On the 4th day of Tet, the province welcomed cruise ships bringing 600 tourists to visit Ha Long Bay and other popular attractions, such as Cua Ong temple, the Tran Dynasty historical relic site, and the Yen Tu scenic relic.

This year, Quang Ninh hopes to welcome 17 million visitors, including 3 million foreigners.
