(VOVworld) – Ho Chi Minh city is taking the lead in international economic integration, according to a workshop on international economic integration at the local level held on Wednesday in Hanoi.

A report said Ho Chi Minh city still leads in this area because of its potential in trade and investment. The report listed the top 10 localities for international economic integration at the local level: Ho Chi Minh city, Hanoi, Binh Duong, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Da Nang, Thanh Hoa, Bac Ninh, Nghe An, Hung Yen and Thua Thien Hue. Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Cam Tu said: "The report serves as a good reference for making decisions on policies of integration and development based on localities’ abilities and conditions. This report also helps state management agencies and the national committee for international economic cooperation to objectively assess localities’ international economic integration and help them implement integration policy".
