H’re brocade weaving recognized as national intangible cultural heritage

(VOVWORLD) - The traditional brocade weaving of the H're ethnic minority people in Ba Thanh commune, Quang Ngai province, has been recognized as a national intangible cultural heritage.

The decision was announced on Wednesday at a ceremony attended by hundreds of H’re people.

Traditional H’Re brocade products are popular among other ethnic groups. Thế products include men’s clothing, head gears, blankets, baby carriers, and bags. The weaving reflects the culture, intelligence, and sophistication of H’re weavers, which has been passed down from generation to generation.
