Hue International Art Festival Week welcomes 100,000 visitors
(VOVWORLD) - The Hue International Art Festival Week 2024, taking place from June 6 to 12, attracted over 19,000 international travelers and more than 81,000 domestic visitors, and is expected to earn 6.2 million USD in tourism revenue for Hue, the provincial Department of Tourism announced on Wednesday.

On average, 70% of Hue’s accommodations were used, said Nguyen Van Phuc, Director of the provincial Department of Tourism, adding that many tourists who came to participate in the festival week chose to travel without booking an organized tour.
He said: “Hue welcomed a large number of visitors from neighboring provinces during the festival week, many of whom came with their families. On some days, accommodations in the city center were 80-90% occupied. Many sightseeing tours were also organized in conjunction with activities at the festival to meet visitors’ demands.”
