Iceland’s President ends visit to Vietnam

(VOVworld) – Iceland’s President Olafur Ragna ended his 3-day state visit to Vietnam on Friday. During his visit, President Grimsson held talks with Vietnamese President Truong Tan Sang, exchanged courtesies with General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung, and met with Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung.

During the talks, the two sides’ leaders expressed their belief that the visit by Iceland’s President will promote bilateral cooperation in the future.
The two sides signed a Memorandum of Understanding on geo-thermal power between Vietnam’s Ministry of Industry and Trade and Iceland’s Foreign Ministry and a Memorandum of Understanding between the Vietnam National University, Hanoi and Reykjavik University.
