Vietnam is currently preparing its army medical staff and engineers to join a UN mission. Participants at the seminar, scheduled from Tuesday to Thursday, will focus their discussions on details regarding the operation of a level-2 field hospital, from management activities to measurements ensuring adequate medical supplies and equipment. Hoang Kim Phung, director of the Vietnam Peacekeeping Center, said: "This is a very good opportunity for Vietnam to learn from international friends’ experience on the operation of a field hospital during a UN peace-keeping mission. I hope this is also a good chance for both the US and Vietnamese military officers to exchange and further enhance closer relations between the two armies."
