At a government meeting on law building on Friday, Prime Minister Chinh said that right from the beginning of his term, the Government has focused on implementing three strategic breakthroughs, including institutional breakthrough. This is the third thematic meeting on institution building and improvement, he added.

The Prime Minister applauded the enthusiastic and responsible comments, saying ministers and sectors have made efforts to ensure progress and quality of draft laws. But he once again emphasized that the heads of agencies and units must work harder on institutional building.

Mr. Chinh requested that the amendment, supplement and improvement of the legal system must address newly arising practical problems and remove obstacles in mechanisms and policies.

“The law-making must come from reality, respect reality, take reality as a measure. During the law-making process, if any problems are found, they must be addressed. What new problems arise should be taken seriously. Contents that are out of date with the situation must be corrected. The law-making must mobilize all resources for development,” he said.
