(VOVWORLD) -The Government has worked to urgently and resolutely fine-tune institutions; eliminate all barriers that hinder development; and make institutions a competitive edge in developing science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation, said Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.

At the National Conference on Breakthroughs in Developing Science, Technology, Innovation, and National Digital Transformation held on Monday in Hanoi, the Prime Minister emphasized that the Politburo’s Resolution 57 is a document of strategic significance.
The Government has identified Resolution implementation as a key political task which must be carried out with strong, methodical, coordinated and unified steps in the political system, he added.
“Key tasks like perfecting institutions, developing high-quality human resources, building modern digital infrastructure, promoting scientific research, applying advanced technology and boosting innovation, digital transformation are included in the action program with a specific roadmap and clear responsibilities."
"The government, agencies and localities in the political system must focus on building institutions, which must be open; on developing infrastructure, which must be seamless; people and human resources must be smart," according to PM Chinh.
In his address, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man said Resolution 57 sets out 16 tasks requiring research and development of the Artificial Intelligence and Internet of Things industries; investing in and building data centers and cloud computing; forming storage infrastructure that meets international standards and green standards.
“It’s necessary to fine-tune laws on science, technology development, innovation and digital transformation. The National Assembly continues to coordinate in preliminary review, summary and assessment of the implementation of relevant policies and laws, correctly and fully identifies difficulties, bottlenecks and barriers to remove and eliminate them; unifies the perception of the task of "turning institutions into a competitive advantage,” Chairman Man said
To create a breakthrough in the development of science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation, the National Assembly will continue to coordinate with the Government to lead, direct and organize the review of the relevant legal system to institutionalize fully, promptly and synchronously in accordance with the requirements of Resolution 57.
