This new investment follows the 1 billion USD Intel invested in a chip assembly and test facility at Saigon Hi-tech Park in Ho Chi Minh City in 2006. IPV is an important part of Intel’s global production chain, Danner said, adding that Intel intends to diversify its activities in Vietnam.
