(VOVworld) - The Vietnam General Confederation of Labor received letters of congratulation this week from 20 international trade unions on the occasion of its upcoming national congress in Hanoi. The Lao Federation of Trade Unions affirmed the sustainability of the traditional partnership and comprehensive cooperation of parties, states, and trade unions. The Workers' Central Union of Cuba pledged its unconditional support for Vietnamese citizens, particularly workers, in building a sustainable socialist republic. The American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations (AFL - CIO) sent greetings to Vietnam and expressed its support for Vietnamese workers’ rights and dignity. It said it looks forward to further cooperation in dealing with global issues and building international solidarity.
