A preliminary agreement on Tehran’s nuclear program was reached by Iran and the P5+1 in November 2013 and came into force on January 20th. According to this agreement, Iran will stop enriching its 5% uranium and disable its stockpile of enriched uranium at the level of around 20% within 6 months while stopping activities at the heavy water reactor Arak. In exchange, Iran can access its oil revenues worth up to 4.2 billion USD that is currently blocked at many foreign bank accounts. The country is also allowed to resume its exchange activities of petro-chemical products, gold and other precious metals.
