According to the Fars news agency, Shamkhani said during a meeting with Afghan President Ashraf Ghani in Kabul that ISIS is making a move, after fomenting insecurity at the borders, to transfer terrorists to Afghanistan “to ignite the flames of war, bloodshed, and insecurity in the region once again.”

Shamkhani described the withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan as a golden opportunity to strengthen Afghanistan's defense and military capabilities, adding that the region is counting each moment until a full withdrawal of US forces occurs.
