In his speech with the theme “Sustainable Development”, President Michael Daniel Higgins said Vietnam and Ireland share a similar history as the two countries have shifted from an agriculture-based economy to a manufacturing model. He said he believes Vietnamese students will play a key role in designing a development model suitable to the local cultural and historical conditions.
