Israeli Air Force shoots down drones from Iraq, Lebanon

(VOVWORLD) - The Israeli Air Force shot down five drones launched at Israel on Sunday from Lebanon and Iraq, according to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).

Three drones launched from Lebanon were shot down by air defenses over Western Galilee, the IDF said. It earlier confirmed that Hezbollah launched a barrage of 35 rockets from Lebanon toward Haifa Bay and other cities in the Upper Galilee in northern Israel. The raid injured three people.

Yemen's Houthi group announced on Sunday it had launched a fresh drone attack targeting a number of military targets in the Israeli cities of Jaffa and Ashkelon. The group vowed that it will launch more attacks until Israel ends its attacks in Gaza and Lebanon.

Israel’s military said Sunday that mobile artillery batteries had crossed into Lebanon and begun attacking Hezbollah targets. This is the first time Israeli artillery has fired from Lebanese territory.
