RCEP will create a free trade zone accounting for about 30 percent of the world's gross domestic product, trade and population.

The agreement includes commitments to open markets for goods, services, and investment and simplify customs procedures to facilitate trade.

RCEP groups the 10 ASEAN members plus Japan, China, the Republic of Korea, Australia and New Zealand. The deal is expected to officially come into effect from early next year.
