The festival is held annually from the 10th to the 15th day of the ninth lunar month to honor Zen Master Khong Lo who lived in the 11th century. It features religious rituals and communal activities such as Buddhist worship, palanquin processions, love duet singing on boats, and folk games. In addition to the autumn festival, a spring festival takes place here each year on the 4th day of the first lunar month.
