Khanh Hoa welcomes 630,000 tourists during Tet

(VOVWORLD) - As of Wednesday, Khanh Hoa welcomed more than 630,000 visitors during the Tet holiday, earning an estimated 36 million USD, up 35% compared to the same period last year, said the provincial Department of Tourism.

The sea and island tours on Nha Trang Bay allured more than 7,000 visitors per day, while the relic site of Ponagar Towers received from 6,000 to 9,000 visitors per day.

On average, accommodation facilities reached nearly 80% occupancy during the Tet holiday, while 4–5-star resorts had an occupancy rate of over 90%. 

To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the city’s development this year, attractions have introduced to tourists images and scenery of a bygone Tet, such as the Truong Son craft village, Cham Pa tourist area, and Nha Trang ancient tourist area.

According to Nguyen Thi Le Thanh, director of the provincial Department of Tourism, Khanh Hoa aims at 9 million tourist arrivals this year. She said, “We have instructed businesses to ensure sanitation, environment, goods, and services, and stabilize prize. In the new year, we will hold a series of events on digital transformation and social media application to improve our communications to locals and tourists.”
