(VOVWORLD) -The Phong Luu Khau Vai Market Festival opened Monday in the mountain province of Ha Giang with activities honoring human relationships and praising romantic love.

Visitors are invited to join folk games, watch nightingale fights, climb Ma Pi Leng peak, take a boat trip on the Nho Que river, and visit a rock maze and the bridge of love.
Phong Luu Khau Vai Market (also called the Khau Vai love market), begun in 1919, is now a national intangible cultural heritage. The market has become a special feature of the daily life of ethnic groups in Ha Giang province.
The love market festival is held only once a year on the 27th day of the third lunar month.
