(VOVworld) – Republic of Korea President Park Geun-hye hosted a banquet to welcome Vietnamese Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong to Seoul on Thursday.

The Korean President said the visit demonstrates the steady development of the Strategic Cooperative Partnership between the two countries, which has been consolidated by the marriage of more than 50,000 Vietnam-Korea couples. She said she hopes for continued bilateral cooperation toward a brighter future. During talks with President Park and other senior Korean leaders, the Vietnamese Party leader said he believes the implementation of signed agreements will consolidate political trust and promote cooperation and friendship between the two countries.
