Art performance celebrates the establishment of Lai Chau city

(VOVworld)- Lai Chau province held a ceremony to mark its 10^th founding anniversary on Saturday. In his address, Chief of the Office of the Party’s Central Committee Truong Quoc Vuong urged the province to make further efforts to become a province of middle-development in the northern mountainous region. He urged the province to bring into play its advantages and potential, mobilize more investment resources to upgrade local infrastructure and pay more attention to forest protection: “Lai Chau province needs to effectively integrate the poverty reduction program into new rural development program to ensure rapid and sustainable poverty reduction and social security and improve people’s lives. It is necessary to improve the quality of education and training and integrate it into socio-economic development tasks and pay more attention to training ethnic minority officials”.

On the occasion, Mr. Vuong announced the Government’s resolution on the establishment of Lai Chau city in Lai Chau province.
