Lao government to step up measures against Covid-19
(VOVWORLD) - Laos has not reported anyone testing positive for the novel coronavirus, but it has raised its public health warning to its highest level, according to Lao Foreign Minister Saleumsay Kommasith at a press conference on Thursday.

The Foreign Minister said: “Laos is considered so far a lucky nation that no case yet has been found as infected cases. You might hear rumors of suspected cases in Laos, however, the lasted case, just a couple of days ago, was tested negative. Due to the increasing outbreaks in some areas, a number of countries has already undertaken speedy measures such as close the borders.”
According to the Lao Foreign Minister, all schools in Laos will be closed for one month, and the issuing of visas will be suspended for 30 days beginning Friday.
