(VOVworld) – Libya’s Prime Minister Abdullah Al Thani announced his resignation Sunday, saying he and his family were targets of an attack.

Thani said that he will not keep his post after the cowardly attack on him and his family, but he promised to stay in his post until the General National Congress selects a new prime minister. Thani made his decision one week after Libya’s parliament called for a new cabinet.
