Liz Truss talks on the phone with Ukraine and US leaders
(VOVWORLD) - Shortly after taking office, new British Prime Minister Liz Truss on Tuesday reiterated her support for Ukraine in the long run and the two leaders discussed the need to strengthen global security during a phone conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

On the same day, Truss spoke by phone with US President Joe Biden to discuss bilateral and international issues.
They agreed on the importance of safeguarding peace in Northern Ireland, to build on the defense ties between the two trans-Atlantic allies including by furthering their deep defense alliance through NATO and AUKUS.
Truss said she wants to work with Biden to combat economic challenges emanated from the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
