Health experts said there will likely be dozens of COVID-19 infection cases related to the central city of Da Nang, especially Da Nang hospital within coming weeks. The National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control said there is high risk of COVID-19 infections in other provinces and cities and the infection source is not limited to those returning from Da Nang. Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam, Head of the Committee, said: “Local authorities need to closely follow the guidelines of the Prime Minister and the health sector to monitor those returning from Da Nang. Local authorities must be held responsible for transmissions of the disease”.

Health care units are requested to ensure safety for their patients. If any transmission happens, heads of the hospitals will be held responsible.
