Localities urged to work harder to achieve dual task

(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has urged for greater efforts to quickly contain the COVID-19 epidemic in severely affected localities while maintaining socio-economic development and protecting people’s lives.

Following an online government meeting last week, the Prime Minister signed a Resolution directing localities to protect people's lives and livelihoods and adjusting production as required by the local pandemic situation.

Under the resolution, ministries and agencies are asked to continue to boost production and trade in COVID-free areas, stabilize the macro-economy, control inflation, and ensure social security.

The PM also asked localities to speed up the disbursement of public investment capital, especially ODA and preferential foreign loans, and submit the national target program for socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas until 2030.
