Mid-Autumn Festival celebrated nationwide

(VOVWORLD) - Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan on Tuesday attended a full-moon festival celebration with the children of Ea H’Leo district, Dak Lak province, where she presented 270 scholarships and 120 bikes to students in difficult circumstances, along with 1,500 additional gifts. Free medical exams and medicine were also given to children who live in remote areas of Dak Lak province.

The Association in Support of Handicapped and Orphaned Vietnamese on Tuesday held a program called “Light up your hope”, where the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee presented 200 gifts to disadvantaged children who have overcome their difficulties and integrated into society.

On Tuesday, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee in Ho Chi Minh City and the Ho Chi Minh municipal Youth Union held Mid-Autumn Festival celebrations for disadvantaged children at the city’s Children Protection Centers.

The Women’s Union of Quang Nam province coordinated with the provincial Border Guard Command to organize a “Mid-Autumn Festival of love for the border region” program, giving 400 gifts to the Dac Pring-Dac Pre Ethnic Boarding Primary School.

In Da Lat city, the Lam Dong provincial Youth Union organized a program called “Lanterns to light up dreams” and presented gifts to children of the SOS Children’s Villages and the Lam Dong provincial Social Protection Center.

On this occasion, the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Ben Tre province awarded 30 scholarships to children from poor and near-poor households, and children of workers in extremely difficult circumstances.
