Morgan Stanley reveals factors affecting President Donald Trump’s reelection

(VOVWORLD) - The relatively strong US economy doesn’t necessarily mean that President Donald Trump will win a second term, strategists from investment banking company Morgan Stanley said Monday.

The strategists said there are many risks to Trump’s re-election campaign including the recent killing of Iranian commander Qassim Soleimani by a US airstrike, adding this has caused worry about a potential war with Iran, which hurts Trump’s re-election campaign. The trade war with China could also escalate again, despite a “phase one” deal likely to be signed next week. There could also be new revelations during the Senate impeachment trial, which could provide more information about Trump’s controversial dealings with Ukraine, according to the strategists.
