NA Chairman Hung was welcomed at Ciampino Airport in Rome by senior Italian officials, the Vietnamese ambassador to Italy and Vietnamese community representatives.
(VOVworld) – National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung on Wednesday began an official visit to Italy at the invitation of the President of Italy’s Chamber of Deputies, Laura Boldrini.
Chairman Hung and his delegation were welcomed by senior Italian officials, the Vietnamese ambassador to Italy, and Vietnamese community representatives.
Through the visit, Vietnam and Italy hope to open up new cooperative development in economics, trade, and investment.
The visit aims to strengthen the Vietnam-Italy strategic partnership established last year and tighten parliamentary ties between the two nations.
Mr. Hung is scheduled to meet with the President of the Italian Senate, Pietro Grasso, visit the Vietnamese Embassy, and meet representatives of the Vietnamese community in Italy.
