NA Chairman presides over work on national defense industry bill

(VOVWORLD) -National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue emphasized the importance of the Draft Law on National Defense, Security and Industrial Mobilization, which he said has multiple specific and outstanding policies to increase productivity, consolidate the development of defense and security industries, and capitalize on the country's economic potential.

Chairing a meeting on Hanoi on Wednesday to examine the bill, Chairman Hue said, "We must make careful preparation. This is an opportunity to complete the best legal corridor for the development of defense and security industry in a dual-use direction. It will be closely combined with civilian industry to become the spearhead of national industry."
Calling it a new, difficult bill, the National Assembly Chairman requested the drafting agency to review in detail each of the bill’s clauses to ensure its validity, harmonization in the legal system, and feasibility in application.
