(VOVworld)- The 30th session of the National Assembly’s Standing Committee opened in Hanoi on Monday. In his opening speech, National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung said the deputies will discuss 13 draft laws, of them 9 are revised laws on Investment, Business, Housing, Social Insurance, and the National Assembly’s Organization. They are expected to be adopted at the 8th session of the National Assembly. Mr. Hung stressed the need to thoroughly discuss the draft laws to fully reflect the 2013 Constitution, especially those relating to the socialist state governed by law, human rights, and the fundamental rights and obligation of citizens. Discussing the revised Investment Law on Monday, the delegates focused on regulations on investment bans and conditional investment. Nguyen Duc Hien is Head of the People’s Aspiration Committee of the National Assembly: “It’s necessary to clearly stipulate which sector is subject to conditional investment and what the conditions are. The government needs to stipulate these sectors on the basis on this law, review and include them in the Law”.

The National Assembly’s Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan proposed that law makers and appraisal agencies should review the list of investment bans and conditional investment and add it to the Law. The 30th session of the National Assembly's Standing Committee will last until Friday.
