Phong asked the WHO to continue assisting Vietnam in public health care, with a focus on updating health situation in Vietnam, the region and the world, sharing its experience in devising and carrying out policies on prevention and control of communicable and non-communicable diseases, and working closely with Vietnam in disease control, particularly newly-emerging epidemics. She suggested that the WHO continue helping carry out public health care projects, especially in remote, mountainous and ethnic minority areas, to narrow the gap of accessing public health care services in regions. Kasai, for his part, expressed interest in further supporting Vietnam in public health care, providing the country with world health information and solutions to public health care issues.
