National Assembly chairman elected Chairman of National Electoral Council
(VOVworld) – National Assembly deputies have elected National Assembly chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung to be chairman of the National Electoral Council. Mr. Hung proposed that the National Assembly ratify the Council’s lineup, which included 4 vice-chairpersons and 16 other members of the Council. The 4 vice-chairpersons of the Council are National Assembly Vice-chairwoman Tong Thi Phong, Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, and President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Nguyen Thien Nhan.
The National Assembly Standing Committee nominated Nguyen Hanh Phuc, head of the National Assembly office, for the post of Secretary General of the 13th National Assembly.
