National Assembly discusses revised Law on State Budget

(VOVworld) - National Assembly deputies have discussed revisions to the Law on the State Budget. During their discussions on Tuesday, most delegates agreed on a reserve of between 2 and 4% of total budget spending to be prepared for emergencies such as natural disasters, poverty or epidemics. They suggested the delegation of power to the government and people’s committees in making budget reserve decisions and reporting to the people’s council. Delegates recommended that the law take effect from next year to coincide with the coming into force of the law on public investment.

In the afternoon, deputies discussed the bills on criminal investigation agency organization and the detention of suspects and convicts in line with the 2013 Constitution. They called for a clear definition of the management organization for prisons holding convicts as well as places of detention for suspects with full respect to their dignity, safety and health.
