In his address, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said digital transformation is an inevitable trend happening around the world, adding that the Party and State consider this one of their most important tasks.

Speaking highly of the General Department of Taxation and the Finance Ministry’s efforts to boost e-invoice application, he asked the taxation sector to apply modern technology to ensure that tax declaration and payment are carried out in the simplest and easiest possible manner, and all the tax administrative procedures handled electronically are connected with the National Public Service Portal by the end of 2022.
The Government leader also demanded that communications be increased to raise awareness of benefits from e-invoices, saying awareness plays a large role in digital transformation, which is successful only when people and enterprise understand, actively participate, and benefit from it.
Mr. Chinh: "We need to reform and have breakthrough mindset and strategic view, continue to apply science and technology, promote innovation to strengthen tax management. We need to center on the people and businesses who should also be the target and motivation for digital transformation. The public and businesses should also get engage in digital transformation."
