National socio-economic development requires more effort by State groups and corporations, says PM

(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh highlighted contributions from the 19 groups and corporations under the Commission for Management of State Capital at Enterprises (CMSC) last year, but said the national socio-economic development tasks for 2024 will be much harder than those for 2023, requiring more effort from ministries and sectors, as well as the CMSC.

Mr Chinh made the statement at Monday’s working session with the CMSC and its groups and corporations to review their production, business, and investment plans for 2024.

Although they are few in number, State-owned groups and corporations have large resources, assets, and capital, and are an important force of the Party and State, PM Chinh said, adding that, in apart from economic development, they have ensured social security.

He asked leaders of ministries, sectors, and the CMSC to analyze their performance last year and propose tasks and solutions to promote business and production in 2024.
