(VOVWORLD) - The death toll from a new coronavirus in China has risen to 811, Chinese Health Commission reported early Sunday.
The number of confirmed infections rose to over 37,000, with 89 deaths newly recorded in the last 24 hours, most of them in Hubei Province, the heart of the outbreak. Two deaths outside of Chinese mainland were confirmed, one Wuhan citizen in the Philippines and a 39-year-old man in Hong Kong (China).
The number of deaths from nCoV has surpassed the death toll from the SARS epidemic of 2002-2003.
