New terminal of Phu Bai airport to be put into operation on May Day: PM

(VOVWORLD) -During a business trip to Thua Thien-Hue province on Friday evening, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh checked the progress of terminal T2 project of Phu Bai international airport and asked for preparedness to put the terminal into operation on the national holidays of Reunification Day and May Day, April 30 and May 1.

The Prime Minister urged the investor to direct the contractors and consulting units to urgently complete the remaining workload and make sure that the works are in full compliance with the current regulations. He also requested completion of infrastructure and transport routes connecting to the airport.
Terminal 2 at Phu Bai airport is invested by Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) and built with a capacity of serving 5 million passengers per year. The current terminal has a designed capacity of 1.5 million passengers a year.
