(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam concluded Friday with 11 gold medals in karate, table tennis, weightlifting, chess and more. Nguyen Duc Tuan won the first table tennis gold for Vietnam after 19 years when he defeated Thailand's Phakpoom Sanguans in 4-1 in the final.

With Tuan’s win, Vietnam stood atop the medal tally at SEA Games 31, having secured 164 gold, 97 silver and 96 bronze medals.
