Nguyen Thi Thanh elected NA Vice Chairwoman
(VOVWORLD) - The National Assembly conducted a secret vote to elect Nguyen Thi Thanh as National Assembly Vice Chairwoman on Thursday. After that, the NA passed a Resolution on electing Nguyen Thi Thanh as Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly for the 2021-2026 term.

Nguyen Thi Thanh was born in 1967 in Ninh Binh Province. She holds a degree in Bachelor of Laws and an MBA in Business Administration. She was an alternate member of the 11th Party Central Committee, a member of the 12th, and 13th Party Central Committee, and a NA deputy of the 13th, 14th and 15th tenures.
From August 2013 to April 2020, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh was Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the National Assembly Deputy Delegation of Ninh Binh Province.
From April 2020 until being elected as Vice Chairwoman of the 15th National Assembly, she worked at the National Assembly and was Deputy Head of the Party Central Committee’s Organization Commission and Standing Deputy Head of the Deputy Affairs Committee of the National Assembly Standing Committee.
In addition she has served as a member of the National Assembly Standing Committee, and Head of the Deputy Affairs Committee of the National Assembly Standing Committee.
