The panorama was printed in the May 7th special edition of the newspaper. It depicted the arduous 56-day-and-night Dien Bien Phu Campaign with desriptions in both Vietnamese and English.

Readers can cut and assemble the painting which measures up to 3.21 meters long (a printed newspaper record), scan the QR code from the painting, or download an augmented reality app for an interactive experience.

Uong Thai Bieu, Head of Nhan Dan Newspaper’s Office in Da Nang, said: “Gifting the panoramic prints has proven to be a successful experiment with significant social impact. Youth can approach history through the paintings, which have great historical value, and been augmented by new technology. We will continue to promote this method to bring history closer to our readers, especially the younger generation.”
