(VOVworld) – Two bomb blasts have rocked the outskirts of the Nigerian capital Abuja causing a number of deaths. Local security sources said the first struck near a police station in Kuje, 40km from Abuja, and 15 minutes lateranother blast occurred inside a market in Kuje.

At the same time, a big blast hit a bus stop in Nyanya. The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) said the blast killed 21 people and added that rescue teams have were deployed. NEMA Spokesman Manzo Ezekiel said that it was not an accidental explosion, definitely it was a bomb. No group has said it carried out the attacks yet but suspicion has fallen on Boko Haram Islamists. The explosives appeared to be the same kind of explosives used in the insurgency in the north-east.
