“No one is expelling anyone from Gaza,” says US President
(VOVWORLD) - US President Donald Trump said Wednesday that no Palestinians will be expelled from the besieged Gaza Strip, reversing earlier comments on relocating Palestinians to Arab countries.

Trump made the statement in response to a question during a meeting in the White House with Ireland’s Taoiseach Micheal Martin.
Trump last month proposed a US takeover of Gaza and suggested that the territory’s Palestinian population be permanently displaced to live in neighboring countries and turning it into the "Riviera of the Middle East."
Trump’s proposal during the early stages of a fragile ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas in Gaza, drew widespread international rejection, amid concern that it reinforced long-standing Palestinian fears of being permanently driven from their homes.
