(VOVworld) – The Ministry of Health said that no cases of Zika virus have been reported in Vietnam since December, 2015. The Department of Preventive Medicine said none of the 83 suspected cases in 8 provinces tested positive to the virus.

The Ministry of Health has advised pregnant women to avoid travelling to infected countries if not necessary. Those returning from Zika infected countries should have their health monitored within 12 days and immediately go to medical centers if they show unusual symptoms.
