North Korea announces successful test of strategic cruise missiles
(VOVWORLD) - North Korea's Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) announced on Sunday that North Korea successfully tested underwater-to-surface strategic cruise missiles on Saturday.

The test is part of North Korea's efforts to bolster national defense capabilities and enhance strategic control in response to the region’s evolving security dynamics.
According to KCNA, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un personally oversaw the test. The strategic cruise missiles reportedly traveled in elliptical and figure-8 trajectories over a distance of 1,500 kilometers, completing their flight in 7,507–7,511 seconds before striking the designated target.
KCNA emphasized that the test was conducted in a manner that "did not cause any negative impact on the security of neighboring countries."
