(VOVworld) – A teleconference opened in Hanoi on Wednesday to evaluate land clearance for the expansion of the Thanh Hoa-Can Tho section of national highway 1 and the Ho Chi Minh road running through the central highlands.

Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc praised efforts by localities involved in mobilizing the political system and people as part of this drive. He attributed the slow progress in some localities to the lack of determination and adequate social investment in land compensation and resettlement. Deputy Prime Minister Phuc requested the Ministry of Transport to issue clear and appropriate instructions, facilitating localities to complete the necessary land clearance on time in order to ensure the progress of these projects.
